Jamba Juice. It’s the first place we all head to when we fancy a delicious smoothie. But how about if you are trying to avoid added sugar? Which Jamba Juice smoothie should you order if you want one with no added sugar? Well, that is a great question and one that I am going to answer in this post. I have already written a whole post on the smoothies at Jamba that contain the least total sugar but in this post, I am just going to look at which smoothies at Jamba Juice contain added sugar and which do not contain added sugar. Now just to make clear – Jamba Juice does not actually add sugar as an ingredient to their smoothies BUT some of their smoothies have ingredients added that contain sugar such as sherbet, chocolate moo’d dairy base, soy milk, coconut milk, lemonade, oat milk frozen dessert, and frozen yogurt. Some other Jamba Juice smoothies contain more natural forms of added sugar such as organic agave or honey. Finally, some smoothies at Jamba Juice contain no added sugar and just rely on the naturally occurring sugar in the fruit for sweetness. In this post, I will present you with all the Jamba Juice smoothies that contain ingredients with added sugar, all the smoothies that contain honey or agave, and all of the smoothies that just rely on the natural sweetness of the fruit.
So let’s dig in – does Jamba Juice add sugar to their smoothies?
Does Jamba Juice Add Sugar To Their Smoothies?
As a general rule, Jamba Juice do not add sugar to their smoothies but some of their smoothies contain ingredients that contain added sugar. Some other Jamba Juice smoothies contain agave or honey. Finally, some Jamba Juice smoothies do not contain added sugar.
Below I have categorized all of the smoothies currently on the Jamba Juice menu into one of the following 3 categories –
- Jamba Juice smoothies that contain added sugar (from sherbet, chocolate moo dairy base, soy milk, coconut milk, lemonade, oat milk frozen dessert, and frozen yogurt)
- Jamba Juice smoothies that contain honey or agave
- Jamba Juice smoothies do not contain added sugar
*It is worth noting that all of the smoothies in the classic range contain added sugar so you may as well skip over that section of the menu if you are looking for an added sugar-free smoothie*

Before we dig in, all of Jamba Juice’s juices are added sugar-free. So, juice at Jamba Juice can be a great sugar-free option to grab.
A. Jamba Juice Smoothies That Contain Added Sugar
As I mentioned above Jamba Juice does not actively add sugar to any of their smoothies. However, some ingredients such as sherbet, chocolate moo dairy base, soy milk, coconut milk, lemonade, oat milk frozen dessert, and frozen yogurt do contain added sugar. I have sifted through the Jamba Juice menu and deduced which smoothies contain ingredients that contain added sugar. I have collated them in the below table together with the sugar culprit! If you have your heart set on one of the below smoothies you can always see if your kind server will make it for you without the added sugar-containing ingredient. But bear in mind it won’t taste the same as the original smoothie.

B. Jamba Juice Smoothies Sweetened With Honey or Agave
There are also three smoothies currently on the Jamba Juice menu that don’t contain white sugar but they do contain added honey or organic agave. These two smoothies are the following:

C. Jamba Juice Smoothies Without Added Sugar
Ok, now we move on to the really exciting part. The 8 smoothies currently on the Jamba Juice menu do not contain any ingredients with added sugar, honey, or agave. Just bear in mind all of these smoothies still contain juice from concentrate and they all of course have a total sugar content. Most of the below smoothies also made it onto my list of the 11 lowest total sugar smoothies at Jamba Juice. So let’s dig in.
1. Apple N Greens Smoothie
The first added sugar-free smoothie in this article is…drum roll, please! Jamba Juice’s Apple N Greens Smoothie! This green smoothie is made from apple pear strawberry juice blend, kale, mangos, bananas, and peaches. I love the fact this smoothie contains kale as well as some sweet fruits to balance it all out. In fact, not only is Apple N Greens added sugar-free but it also made it onto my list of the 11 lowest sugar (in terms of total sugar content) smoothies at Jamba Juice, which you can read more about here.
2. Mega Mango Smoothie
Jamba’s Mega Mango smoothie is also added sugar-free. This sweet tropical smoothie is made from pineapple juice, orange juice, mangos, and strawberries. I mean who needs added sugar when a smoothie contains sweet fruits anyway?
3. Peach Perfection Smoothie
The next smoothie is peachy perfect without containing any added sugar. This smoothie is Peach Perfection of course! Peach Perfection is made of white grape pear peach juice blend, mangos, peaches, apple strawberry juice blend, and strawberries.
Just like the previous two added sugar smoothies, Peach Perfection is also one of the lowest total sugar smoothies at Jamba Juice too – (see my post on the lowest sugar Jamba Juice Smoothies here)
4. Pomegranate Paradise Smoothie
Jamba’s Pomegranate Paradise smoothie is another sweet Jamba smoothie without any added sugar. This bad boy is made up of apple pear pomegranate juice blend, mangos, strawberries, and peaches.
5. Strawberry Whirl Smoothie
Strawberry smoothie lovers (I am looking at you kids!) rejoice – Jamba’s Strawberry Whirl smoothie is added sugar-free. It is just made of apple pear strawberry juice blend, strawberries, and bananas. A strawberry smoothie is both of my daughters’ go-to smoothie orders so this is great to hear. Jamba’s Strawberry Whirl is also the 4th lowest total sugar smoothie at Jamba Juice.
6. The Go Getter Smoothie
All of the added sugar-free smoothies so far in this article are from Jamba’s Plant-Based range. But the next one is actually from Jamba’s Super Blend range. The Go Getter smoothie is a green tea smoothie made of matcha green tea, vegetables and fruit juice blend, mangos, kale, and orange juice. The Go Getter is also the 7th lowest total sugar smoothie at Jamba Juice.
7. Kids Blueberry Strawberry Blast Off Smoothie
It is great to know that both of the two kids’ smoothies at Jamba Juice are added sugar-free. So you can definitely say yes next time your little angels are pestering you for a Jamba Juice smoothie. Their kid’s Blueberry Strawberry Blast Off is simply made of a mixed berry juice blend, blueberries, bananas, and strawberries.
8. Kids Strawberries Gone Bananas Smoothie
Jamba’s Kids Strawberries Gone Bananas smoothie is also added sugar-free as it is just made up of apple strawberry juice blend, strawberries, and bananas.

Does Jamba Juice Add Sugar To Their Smoothies? What have we learned from the above? Well, even though Jamba Juice does not add sugar to their smoothies, some of their smoothies contain ingredients that contain added sugar and some smoothies contain agave or honey. However, there are some totally added sugar-free smoothies at Jamba Juice – you just have to know what to look for (which is where we come in of course)!
