In this post, I am going to be ranking 8 different brands of flax milks based on their sugar content. Flax milk can be a great alternative to dairy or other types of plant-based milks. Typically made from soaked flax seeds, this milk is usually a great source of Omega-3. However, some brands will sweeten their flax milk with sugar or other sweeteners. So, if you love flax milk and are looking for the lowest sugar version what is available?

As a general rule, the unsweetened and unsweetened vanilla flax milks from Good Karma, Malibu Mylk, and Lechia contain 0g of sugar per serving. This makes unsweetened flax milk a great sugar free milk. Sweetened flax milk, in comparison, tends to contain 5g-10g of sugar per serving.

In this section, I will go rank each of my 8 flax milks listed above based on sugar content.

First up, unsweetened flax milk from one of the leading flax milk brands – Good Karma. This unsweetened flax milk from Good Karma is vegan, keto, and shelf stable. It does not contain any sugar and contains 0g of sugar per serving.

You can find this flax milk on Amazon here.

If you love the sound of the above unsweetened Good Karma flax milk but would love your flax milk with a hint of protein added, look no further than this +protein flax milk on Amazon here.

Not only does this flax milk contain 1200mg of Omega 3 per serving (like all flax milks) it also contains 8g of plant-based protein per serving. And, of course, 0g of sugar. What a functional milk.

The next entry on this list is from Lechia and it is vanilla flavored and made from both chia and flax. This milk, like Good Karma’s milks, contains 1200mg of Omega 3 per serving. This milk from Lechia also has the benefit of containing prebiotics too. And as it does not contain sugar it contains 0g of sugar per serving. Instead, this milk is sweetened with organic agave inulin and organic stevia leaf extract.

You can find Lechia chia and flax milk on Amazon here.

This unsweetened flax milk is from Malibu Mylk. Before we dig in, can we please take a moment to appreciate Malibu Mylks beautiful packaging (you can peek at it on Amazon here). I also love the fact they call their flax milks ‘mylks’. I also adore this flax Mylks super simple ingredient list. Not only is this flax milk from Malibu Mylk high in Omega 3, but it is also high in prebiotics and fiber too.

If you love the sound of the above Malibu Mylks unsweetened flax milk but would like yours with some vanilla vibes, then look no further than Malibu Mylk’s unsweetened vanilla flax milk. Did I mention that Malibu Mylks are organic? Love.

You can find the unsweetened vanilla version on Amazon here.

If you are an oat milk devotee but want to experiment with flax milk, then this organic oat + flax milk from Malibu Mylk could be a great place to start. This oat + flax milk is sweetened with Inulin and contains 0g of sugar per serving.

You can find it on Amazon here.

The final Malibu Mylk flax milk is their original one. This is slightly sweetened with date sugar and inulin. There are 5g of total sugar per serving, which is actually pretty good going for sweetened milk.

The final entry on this list is from Good Karma – this time their vanilla flax milk + protein. This flax milk is sweetened with cane sugar and contains 10g of sugar per serving, making it the highest sugar flax milk on this list by far.

Below is a summary table of 8 different flax milks ranked for sugar content. I also list the sweetener used for each brand of flax milk and the sugar content per serving for each.
