Is Cashew Butter high in sugar? In this post, I am going to rank the sugar content of 12 different brands of cashew butter. Now, normally cashew butter is made by blending cashews with some form of oil. The result is the thick butter spread we are all familiar with. This mixture can then be sweetened or unsweetened depending on the brand. Most of us will be familiar with peanut butter. Cashew butter, whilst similar in style, is much creamier and richer in taste and profile (in my opinion). So if you are a fan of cashews it can be a great option. But, what exactly is the sugar content of some cashew butter brands, and how much sugar is there in cashew butter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Sugar Content of Cashew Butter?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As a general rule, most plain cashew butters are unsweetened and contain 0g-2g of total sugar per 2 tablespoon serving. Flavored cashew butters such as vanilla, chocolate, or caramel cashew butters tend to contain added sugar and as a general rule contain 3g-6g of total sugar per 2 tablespoon serving.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
