The best low-sugar Starbucks drinks. In this post, I am going to be sharing the best 34 low-sugar drinks from Starbucks. That’s right, love it or hate it, you are never too far from a Starbucks. That’s why, if you are trying to watch your sugar content, it is particularly important to know exactly what the lowest sugar content drinks available from Starbucks are. I will also answer some Frequently Asked Questions when it comes to sugar and Starbucks drinks.
First, how much sugar is there in Starbucks drinks?
How Much Sugar is there in Starbucks Drinks?
Starbucks has a wide selection of lower-sugar drinks available. As a general rule, here is how to order a lower sugar drink at Starbucks:
- add sugar-free vanilla syrup;
- reduce the number of syrup pumps;
- order a smaller size; and
- order coffee or tea black or with a splash of milk.
How I Worked Out The Sugar Content of Starbucks Drinks
Below is a list of the 34 lowest sugar drinks at Starbucks. Please note that the Starbucks website doesn’t allow you to calculate the nutritional information of their drinks with customizations. So, if you order your drink with fewer pumps of syrup or your order with sugar-free syrup rather than full sugar your drink will obviously contain fewer grams of sugar than listed below.
Also, although the nutritional information of their dairy-free kinds of milk is not available on the Starbucks website, as a general rule dairy free milk tend to be lower in total sugar than dairy milk.
This is because dairy milk is high in naturally occurring sugar from lactose.
I have written a variety of posts on lower sugar drinks at coffee shops and ordering your drink vegan usually reduces the sugar content (although not always). So, the good news is that the below 34 drinks contain 10g of sugar or less as-is. But if you order with plant-based milk, or replace vanilla syrup with sugar-free vanilla syrup, or reduce the number of pumps of syrup your drink may contain even less sugar.
