However, yogurts can also be full of added sugars. The rise of dairy-milk alternatives means there are also a lot of non-dairy alternatives to traditional yogurt – the main one of these is Almond Yogurt. So what exactly are some of the lowest sugar Almond Yogurts available?
Is Almond Yogurt Low In Sugar?
As a general rule, unsweetened almond yogurts contain 0g of added sugar and <1g-1g of total sugar per serving. As a general rule, sweetened plain almond yogurts contain 5g-6g of total sugar. Sweetened flavored almond yogurts tend to contain 8g-16g total sugar per serving.

In this section, I will go through each of my nine picks for the best low sugar almond yogurts. Just a reminder that *Food and drinks can have 0g of added sugar but still contain total sugar due to naturally occurring sugar*.
1. Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk Yogurt – <1g of Total Sugar
This unsweetened vanilla almond milk from Silk was the lowest sugar almond milk yogurt I could find. There is a mere <1g of total sugar per 170g serving. How awesome is that!

2. Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Milk Yogurt – 1g of Total Sugar
If you are looking for a plain unsweetened almond milk yogurt, then definitely check out this yogurt from Kite Hill on Amazon here. This yogurt provides all the creaminess and live cultures but with none of the sugar.
This yogurt has 1g of total sugar per 170g serving and 0g of added sugar.
3. Dahlicious Plain Almond Yogurt – 1g of Total Sugar
Next, let me tell you about an awesome almond yogurt brand – Dahlicious. This plain almond milk yogurt contains a whole serving of almonds in each cup as well as 15 billion probiotics per serving. There is only 1g of total sugar per 150g serving. Pretty cool right?
Here is the bad news – it can only be bought in-store and not online. My closest store that stocks it is Smart and Final. You can search for where you can buy it close to you here.
4. Kite Hill Plain Almond Yogurt – 5g of Total Sugar
Next up – Kit Hill Plain almond yogurt. Now unlike the plain unsweetened version, this version does contain cane sugar. The total sugar content though really isn’t too bad at 5g of total sugar per 150g serving. You can find Kite Hill Plain almond yogurt at Ralphs here.
If you want a sweetened Kite Hill almond yogurt but are watching your sugar intake, I recommend this one. The other sweetened-flavored Kite Hill almond yogurts contain quite a bit more sugar. For example, the strawberry contains 13g of sugar, the black cherry contains 13g of sugar, and the blueberry contains 12g of total sugar.
5. Silk Plain Almond Yogurt – 6g of Total Sugar
Another plain sweetened almond milk yogurt that is still relatively low in sugar is Silk’s plain almond yogurt. This almond yogurt is sweetened with cane sugar but is still low in sugar at 6g of sugar per 170g serving.

6. Dahlicious Blueberry Almond Yogurt – 8g of Total Sugar
Next up is another almond yogurt from Dahlicious – this time their blueberry flavor. This yogurt is sweetened with cane sugar and contains 8g of total sugar per 150g serving (6g of which are added). This is relatively low for sweetened flavored almond yogurt.
In comparison Silk’s sweetened flavored almond yogurts tend to contain 13g-16g of total sugar per serving and Kite Hill’s sweetened flavored almond yogurts tend to contain 12g-13g of total sugar per serving.

The lowest sugar Almond yogurts. What have we learned from the above? Well, you are not going to find a completely sugar-free almond yogurt, but if you want to lower your sugar content as much as possible Silk does make an unsweetened almond yogurt that contains <1g of sugar. Also, as a rule, it looks like flavored almond yogurts will always contain more sugar than unflavored ones. For example, all the highest sugar items on the list contain 8g of total sugar and are flavored Almond Yogurts (see entries 6 to 9 on my list). That means again if you want the lowest sugar options then stick to unsweetened plain almond yogurts.
