How much sugar is in sprinkles and are any sugar free? Sprinkles. They are those bright tiny things we sprinkle on ice cream or on cupcakes when we want to be transported back to being a child. Seriously though does any child not love sprinkles? But exactly how much sugar is in sprinkles and do any sugar free sprinkles exist? This is the question I am going to be answering in this post.
In order to answer this question, I randomly selected 7 sprinkles brands and observed the sugar content of a tablespoon (12g serving). To make the comparison fair I have pro-rated the sugar content to a 12g serving if the brand’s definition of a serving is different. I have also selected both rainbow and chocolate sprinkles (also known as “Jimmy’s”). I also managed to find 7 sugar free sprinkle brands so make sure to read right through to the end to find out all about sugar free sprinkles!
So, let’s dig in, how much sugar is in sprinkles, and do any sugar free sprinkles exist?
