If you are a fan of dairy-free ice cream, then I am sure you will have tried NadaMoo before. But what you may not have tried before is NadoMoo No Added Sugar. Yes, that’s right there are not one, but two, no added sugar NadaMoo varieties – No Added Sugar Vanilla and No Added Sugar Mint Chip. Both varieties contain 2g of total sugar per serving and 0g of added sugar.

The sweeteners used in the mint chip variety are organic inulin, organic erythritol, and organic allulose. The sweeteners used in the vanilla variety are organic inulin, organic erythritol, organic allulose, and stevia.

All of NadaMoo’s ice creams are made of coconut.

4. Arctic Zero – 8g of Total Sugar

*Made from fabia bean protein*

*8g of total sugar per serving*

*Sweeteners used are cane sugar, allulose, and monk fruit*

The next entry on the list is perfect for anybody looking for a sugar-free dairy-free ice cream that isn’t coconut-based.

This ice cream is from Arctic Zero and instead of coconut, this dairy-free ice cream is made from Faba Bean Protein Concentrate. How cool is that! The sweeteners used are cane sugar, allulose, and monk fruit, and there are 8g of total sugar per serving.

There are several delicious sounding flavors – strawberry shortcake, vanilla latte, vanilla, pistachio, cookie shake, chocolate, salted caramel, chocolate peanut butter, hint of mint, and cake batter. My pick? It would have to be vanilla latte or salted caramel.

5. NadaMoo Chocolate Peanut Butter and Pistachio Nut – 10g of Total Sugar

*Coconut based*

*2g of added sugar per serving*

*10g of total sugar per serving*

*Sweeteners used are organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup*

Next up on this list is yet again from NadaMoo. Interestingly, these entries are not “No Sugar Added” varieties like the vanilla and mint no sugar added varieties above. A lot of the regular NadaMoo flavors are actually relatively low in sugar. For example, their Chocolate Peanut and Pistachio Nut flavors contain 10g of total sugar per serving, 2g of which are added.

The sweeteners used are organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup.

6. NadaMoo Vanilla and Strawberry Cheesecake – 11g of Total Sugar

*11g of total sugar per serving*

*Sweeteners in vanilla flavor – organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup*

*Sweeteners used in strawberry cheesecake flavor – sugar, organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup*

NadaMoo’s vanilla and strawberry cheesecake flavors are also lower-sugar flavors, clocking in at 11g of total sugar per serving. Just like the Choc PB and pistachio, the vanilla flavor is sweetened with organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup. There are 2g of added sugar per serving.

The strawberry cheesecake flavor also contains these sweeteners but in addition, contains sugar. There are 3g of added sugar per serving of the strawberry cheesecake flavor.

7. NadaMoo Mint Chip, Rockiest Road and Cookies & Cream – 13g Of Total Sugar

*Coconut based*

*13g of total sugar per serving*

NadaMoo’s mint chip, rockiest road, and cookies & cream flavors may sound super indulgent, but the total sugar content is actually 13g of sugar. Just be aware all three of these flavors contain sugar – the sweeteners are sugar, organic agave syrup, organic inulin, and organic tapioca syrup.

There are 6g of added sugar in the Rockiest Road and Mint Chip flavors and 5g of added sugar in the cookies & cream flavors.

8. Cosmic Bliss Vanilla and Infinite Coconut – 13g of Total Sugar

*Coconut based*

*13g of total sugar per serving*

*Sweetened with coconut syrup*

*Simple ingredient lists*

The final lower sugar dairy-free brand comes from Cosmic Bliss. The base used in Cosmic Bliss’s plant-based ice creams is….you guessed it coconut.

Just be aware that not all Cosmic Bliss ice creams are low in sugar or dairy-free for that matter. Cosmic Bliss plant-based ice creams can contain up to 21g of sugar. The two lowest sugar plant-based Cosmic Bliss ice cream flavors are Vanilla and Infinite Coconut. Both of these flavors are sweetened with coconut syrup and contain 13g of total sugar per 2/3 cup serving, 12g of which are added.

If you want a lower sugar dairy-free ice cream with a simple ingredient list of things you have heard of before this is probably your best bet. For example, the sweeteners used in the vanilla flavor are – “Coconut Milk (Water, Coconut, Guar Gum), Coconut Syrup, Coconut Cream, Vanilla Extract and Vanilla Beans.”

Lower Sugar Dairy-Free Ice Creams You Need To Try! – The Final Bite

Lower sugar dairy-free ice creams you need to try. What have we learned from the above? Well, I was super surprised to find a dairy-free ice cream with 1g of total sugar. That just blew my mind away. If you are looking for the lowest sugar option, then So Delicious No Added Sugar Chocolate is your lowest option. So Delicious also makes Vanilla, Mint Choc Chip, and Butter Pecan flavors that come in slightly higher at 2g of total sugar (which is still pretty amazing). You will also have noticed that most of the entries on the above list are coconut-based. This is because coconut milk ice creams tend to be lower in sugar than other types of non-dairy kinds of milk. If you don’t like coconut, then your lowest sugar option is from Artic Zero (entry number 4 on the list) which contains 8g of total sugar.
