Special Mentions
Okay, bonus time. There are 2 additional Planet Smoothie Smoothies that deserve mentioning. The first is the lowest sugar kid’s smoothie and the second is the only other added sugar-free smoothie on the menu.
Special Mention No 1 – Cosmic Cocoa – 10g of Sugar
The first special mention is the lowest sugar Planet Smoothie kid’s smoothie. A 12oz cup of Cosmic Cocoa contains just 10g of sugar and 0g of added sugar! How awesome is that?
Cosmic Cocoa is made from peanut butter, cocoa, bananas, nonfat frozen yogurt, and non-fat milk. So, if you are visiting Planet Smoothie with your kiddo you should definitely encourage them to choose the Cosmic Cocoa option – to be honest is it ever hard to convince a kid to choose the chocolatey peanut butter option?!
Also, if you are an adult who really wants to limit their sugar intake when visiting Planet Smoothie, you could see if a kind server will serve you a Cosmic Cocoa smoothie (I’m not sure if this is “allowed” or not but in my experience if you ask super nicely establishments will often allow adults to order kids’ serving).
A peanut buttery, banana-based, creamy, chocolatey smoothie with just 10g of sugar and no added sugar – that’s a total win!
Just remember that a kid’s cup is just 12oz whilst the above list of drinks are all 20oz servings.
Special Mention No 2 – Lean Green Extreme – 41g of Sugar
The other special mention is not that low is total sugar content (41g of sugar). But, it does deserve a mention as it is the only other smoothie at Planet Smoothie (not already on my above list) that does not contain added sugar. That’s right – 0g of added sugar.
That smoothie is the Lean Green Extreme, which is made of pineapple, mango, bananas, leafy greens, orange juice, lemon, and plant-based protein and is part of Planet Smoothie’s Protein range.
