1. Waffle House Classic Waffle – 15g of Sugar
You can’t go wrong with a classic sweet cream waffle, right? A Classic Waffle from Waffle House contains 15g of sugar – this is before you add toppings or sides. If you like your waffles plain and straight up it’s great to know one portion of Waffle House classic waffles contains 15g of sugar.
2. Waffle House Pecan Waffle – 16g of Sugar
If pecan waffles are your thing, then I have good news for you – adding pecans to your Waffle House waffle will only add a mere 1g of sugar to your waffle.
3. Chocolate Chip Waffle- 28g of Sugar
If chocolate chip waffles are your waffle choice, then it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that ordering your waffle with chocolate chips adds to the sugar content. Chocolate chips add 13g of sugar bringing the waffle total (before syrup) to 28g of sugar. The warm meltiness of the chocolate chips may be worth the increased sugar content to you – I’ll leave that to your discretion.
4. Peanut Butter Chip Waffle – 31g of Sugar
Interestingly, peanut butter chips add more sugar to your Waffle House waffles than chocolate chips. Peanut butter chips add 16g of sugar to your waffle. This means if you order a peanut butter chip waffle, the peanut butter chips will contain more sugar than the waffle itself.

Pecans are the lowest waffle addition available on the menu. Adding only an extra 1g of sugar, Pecans are a great way to add some crunch to your waffle.
Using the above table, you can easily work out how much sugar your deserved waffle will have. For example, if you are set on a chocolate chip waffle and want to add pecans on top as well then, the total sugars for your waffle will be 29g of sugar.

If you are watching your sugar intake, my main advice is to not order all the main additions, and do not add chocolate chips to your peanut butter chip waffle, or conversely peanut butter chips to your chocolate chip waffle. This would bring the sugar content to 44g of sugar.

Whilst you may be content with just a plain waffle, let’s face it a waffle without something on top is just not a waffle. So, if you are a meat fan you can also add additional meat sides to your waffles. As a general rule, the meat sides do not tend to add much sugar if any at all.
