Breakdown – Sugar Content of All Whataburger Burgers

In this section, I will break down the sugar content of all nine burgers on the Whataburger menu in order of sugar content.

1. Whataburger Jr – 6g of Sugar

If you love a plain Whataburger but don’t want to consume 12g of sugar, then the junior Whataburger is a great option – it contains half the sugar of the full-sized version at 6g of sugar.

A Whataburger consists of a beef patty, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and diced onions on a toasted bun – in case you were wondering.

2. Double Meat Whataburger Jr – 6g of Sugar

If you are all about the meats but not all about the sugar, then ordering a junior-sized double meat Whataburger is a great way of reducing your sugar intake. A double meat Whataburger Jr contains 6g of sugar.

This double meat Whataburger Jr is just like the Whataburger Jr but with two patties rather than one.

3. Bacon & Cheese Whataburger Jr 6g of Sugar

The final junior Whataburger available on the menu is their bacon & cheese Whataburger Jr. This burger contains…you guessed it….6g of sugar. So, if a bacon cheeseburger combo is your thing but you are watching your sugar intake this bacon & cheese Whataburger Jr may be the solution.

4. Avocado Bacon Burger 7g of Sugar

The lowest sugar full-sized Whataburger is their Avocado Bacon Burger which contains only 1g more sugar than the junior burgers. 7g of sugar for a full-sized burger is pretty good going. Plus, avocado makes everything better.

5. Whataburger 12g of Sugar

A full-sized Whataburger contains double the sugar content of the junior – coming in at 12g of sugar.

6. Double Meat Whataburger 12g of Sugar

The full-sized double meat also contains double the sugar content of the double meat Whataburger Jr. A full-sized double meat Whataburger contains 12g of sugar.

7. Bacon & Cheese Whataburger 12g of Sugar

It shouldn’t be a huge surprise that the full-sized bacon & cheese Whataburger contains double the sugar as the bacon & cheese Whataburger Jr – coming in at 12g of sugar.

8. Triple Meat Whataburger 12g of Sugar

The triple Meat Whataburger doesn’t contain any more sugar than the double meat Whataburger – it still contains 12g of sugar. Most of the sugar must therefore come from the bun and sauces.

The triple Meat Whataburger (as you may have guessed) is the same as the double Whataburger except it comes with three patties rather than two.

9. Jalapeno & Cheese Whataburger 12g of Sugar

Do you love your Whataburger hot and spicy? If so, the jalapeno and cheese Whataburger might be the burger for you – this is the burger with a spicy kick. One of these bad boys contains 12g of sugar.

How much sugar is in a Whataburger? – The Final Bite

How much sugar is in a Whataburger? What have we learned from this post? Well, when it comes to Whataburger, if you want to lower your sugar content then your best option is to pick one of the jr sized burgers. All three of the Jr burgers (Whataburger Jr, Double Meat Whataburger Jr, and Bacon & Cheese Whataburger Jr) come in at 6g of sugar. This is half of a full-sized Whataburger. If a junior burger is just not going to cut it for you, then the full-sized Avocado Bacon Burger comes in at only 7g of sugar – that is just 1g more than one of the junior burgers. All the remaining full-sized burgers contain double the amount of sugar at 12g of sugar each.

As for drinks, there isn’t really anything too surprising. Whataburger has regular sugar-free offerings on their menu including sodas like Coke Zero, Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, Unsweetened Team, and Minute Maid Light Lemonade. What really surprised me was the Diet Caffeine Free Coke – you don’t normally see that on a menu (good for your caffeine-sensitive child).
