Ranking Apple Juice Brands Based on Sugar Content

In this section, I will go through each of my 10 chosen apple juice brands. I will rank and go through each entry based on sugar content from lowest to highest below item-by-item.

1. 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Reduced Sugar Apple Juice – 10g of Total Sugar

The lowest sugar apple juice I came across in my search is 365 by Whole Foods Market. 365 by Whole Foods Market’s organic reduced sugar apple juice does not contain any sweetener – instead, it is made with organic apple juice concentrate and water. There are only 10g of total sugar per serving and 0g of added sugar.

You can see it for yourself on Amazon here.

2. Honest Kids Apple Juice Drink – 10.7g of Total Sugar

If you are looking for a lower sugar apple juice to give your little ones then look no further than Honest Kids apple juice drink cartons. These apple juice cartons are also made with water, organic apple juice concentrate, and no sweetener. A 6 fl oz carton contains 8g of total sugar, but to keep the comparison fair I have pro-rated the sugar content to make it applicable to 8 fl ounces (240ml). When this is done there is 10.7g of total sugar per 240ml serving of this juice.

You also must love the “appley ever after” on the front of the box.

You can find Honest Kids apple juice drink on Amazon here.

3. Mott’s Light Apple Juice – 12g of Total Sugar

The final lower sugar apple juice to make this list is Mott’s Light Apple juice. This light apple juice is a bit different from the other two above as it is sweetened with sucralose. There are 12g of total sugar per serving – this is less than half the total sugar content of Mott’s regular apple juice (see below). You can find Mott’s Light Apple juice on Amazon here.

4. Tropicana 100% Apple Juice Boxes – 23g of Total Sugar

Next up, we have one of the most well-recognized juice brands in the world – Tropicana. There are only 12g of total sugar in a 125ml carton of Tropicana’s 100% apple juice. But when pro-rated to 240ml this equates to 23g of total sugar. This still makes Tropicana 100% juice boxes the joint lowest sugar regular (aka not light) apple juice on this list.

5. Santa Cruz Organic Apple Juice – 23g of Total Sugar

Santa Cruz organic apple juice is the other regular apple juice that contains 23g of total sugar on this list.  I also love the fact that this apple juice is organic, comes in a glass bottle, and is the first apple juice on this list to be made with whole apples and not from concentrate. Out of all the “non-light” apple juices Santa Cruz organic apple juice would be my personal choice.

You can find Santa Cruz organic apple juice on Amazon here.

6. 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Not From Concentrate Apple Juice – 24g of Total Sugar

Another not from concentrate apple juice is from 365 by Whole Foods Market. 365’s organic not from concentrate apple juice is simply made from organic pasteurized unfiltered apple juice. It is slightly lower in total sugar content than many of the concentrated apple juices out there, at 24g of total sugar per serving.

7. Lakewood Organic Pure Apple Juice – 26g of Total Sugar

Next up is Lakewood organic apple juice, which is just made of biodynamic organic apple juice. How awesome is that? There are 26g of naturally occurring sugar per serving of Lakewood apple juice.

8. Mott’s 100% Original Apple Juice – 28g of Total Sugar

I established above that Mott’s Light Apple juice contains a mere 12g of total sugar per serving. But how about regular Mott’s apple juice? How much sugar is in it? Well, Mott’s apple juice has over double the total sugar content as their light version – at 28g of sugar per serving.

9. Amazon Brand Happy Belly 100% Apple Juice – 28g of Total Sugar

Amazon’s Happy Belly concentrated apple juice also comes in at 28g of sugar.

10. 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Apple Juice – 30g of Total Sugar

The highest sugar apple juice in this list comes from 365 – their organic apple juice contains 30g of total sugar. It is interesting that this is 25% higher than 365’s not from concentrate apple juice. In fact, most of the higher sugar apple juices tend to be ones made from concentrate.
