Is Pineapple Juice High In Sugar? – The Final Bite
Is Pineapple Juice high in sugar? Well, to answer that question I think we really need to look at two different things. First, what is the sugar content of pineapple juice? As you will have learned from the above the sugar content of pineapple juice can vary from 21g to 30g of sugar per serving. Secondly, how does this compare to other types of juices? Well, let’s compare.
- Apple Juice’s sugar content ranges from 10g to 30g of sugar per serving.
- Orange Juice’s sugar content ranges from 22g to 26g of sugar per serving.
- Cranberry Juice’s sugar content ranges from 1g to 29g of sugar per serving.
Looking at the above you should know that some of the options are sugar free or “lite” versions of the juice. However, given the above is 100% pineapple juice for most entries pineapple juice is similar to other juice brands (when compared to non-lite and regular versions).
If you are drinking the Pineapple Juice straight and trying to save on sugar content then either opt for the lowest sugar option on the above list or perhaps swap to a “lite” or sugar free juice alternative. There are plenty of lite apple juice brands available.
Ingredients and/or manufacturing processes may change. Always double-check ingredient lists and nutritional information before purchasing any food items.
