To answer this question, I selected 5 evaporated kinds of milk and 5 condensed kinds of milk and observed the sugar content of a 2-tablespoon serving.

California Farms condensed milk comes in a bottle format and is not canned like Carnation. Despite this, the sugar content is still exactly the same at 22g of sugar per 2-tablespoon serving.

3. La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk – 22g of Sugar
Nestle actually has another condensed milk brand, this one is called Le Lechera. Different brand, but same sugar content. There are 22g of total sugar per 2-tablespoon serving.
18g of these sugars are added.
4. Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk – 22g of Sugar
The sugar content of Eagle Brand sweetened considered milk is, you guessed it – 22g of sugar per 2 tablespoon serving. I am noticing a trend here.
I think it’s safe to conclude at this point that most traditional condensed milk contains around 22g of total sugar per 2 tablespoon serving.
5. Let’s Do Organics Organic Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk – 11g of Sugar
Now I want you to know about a little lower-sugar canned milk secret I discovered in my search. If 22g of sugar per serving is high for you, then you should definitely check out Let’s Do Organics sweetened condensed coconut milk.

Summary – Sugar Content of Condense Milks
I have established that there tends to be around 22g of sugar per 2-tablespoon serving of condensed milk. I have also established that plant-based condensed milk like condensed coconut milk can have a lower sugar content.
Let’s now look at the sugar content of evaporated milk. Evaporated Milk is basically just milk with around 60% of the water removed. Evaporated Milk does not have sugar added. When sugar is added this results in condensed milk, which we just covered above.
6. Carnation Evaporated Milk – 3g of Sugar
Carnation is not only a market leader in condensed milk but also in evaporated milk, so we should definitely check out its sugar content.
There are 3g of total sugar per 2 tablespoons serving of Carnation evaporated milk. So, a fraction of the amount in condensed milk – but that does make sense as no sugar is added.
This 3g of sugar will come from the lactose in milk – which is milk’s naturally occurring sugar.

Black & White Extra creamy evaporated milk also contains 3g of sugar per serving. 0g of these sugars are added.
8. Santini Evaporated Milk – 3g of Sugar
It is exactly the same sugar content situation with Santini evaporated milk – 3g of sugar per serving.
9. Pet Whole Evaporated Milk – 3g of Sugar
The final dairy evaporated milk we will look at is from Pet. There are (you guessed it) 3g of sugar per serving. I think at this stage it is safe to conclude that most dairy evaporated milk contains around 3g of total sugar per 2-tablespoon serving.
10. Samui Evaporated Oat Milk – 0g of Sugar
I have established that dairy evaporated milk tends to contain 3g of total sugar and 0g of added sugar per 2-tablespoon serving. But is there an even lower sugar evaporated milk option out there? Enter Samui Evaporated Oat Milk.
Samui Evaporated Oat milk contains 0g of added sugar and 0g of total sugar per 2-tablespoon serving.
However, the crazy part is that unlike dairy evaporated milk, Samui Evaporated Oat milk contains coconut sugar. Just obviously not enough for it to have an impact on the nutritional data for a 2-tablespoon serving.
