I have ranked the total sugar content of Simply juices and lemonades in descending order of total sugar content per 8oz serving. As a general rule Simply orange juice contains 23g of total sugar and 0g of added sugar per 8oz serving. Simply lemonade contains 28g of total sugar per serving, all of which is added. Simply also have light versions of their orange juice and lemonade which contain 11g and 5g of Sugar per 8oz serving respectively.

1. Simply Cranberry Juice – 34g of Total Sugar

The highest sugar Simply juice is their cranberry juice – there are 34g of total sugar per 8oz serving, 29g of which are added. This definitely doesn’t come as a surprise to me. As a general rule, cranberry juice tends to be a higher sugar juice. This is because cranberries are quite bitter, so a fair bit of sugar is added. 2. Simply Lemonade – 28g of Total Sugar

Next up is one of Simply’s most popular drinks – their lemonade. There are 28g of total sugar per 8oz serving and all 28g are added from cane sugar.  This is actually pretty average for a lemonade based on my research – you can read more about it here – Is There A Lot of Sugar in Lemonade?

3. Simply Limeade – 28g of Total Sugar

Simply’s limeade and lemonade have the same sugar content at 28g of sugar, all of which are added.

4. Simply Lemonade with Blueberry – 26g of Total Sugar

Simply’s lemonade with blueberry actually contains a little less sugar at 26g of sugar – all of which is added.

5. Simply Lemonade with Strawberry – 25g of Total Sugar

The Simply Lemonade with Strawberry also contains 24g of sugar.

6. Simply Lemonade with Raspberry – 25g of Total Sugar

Another variety of Simply’s lemonades that contains 25g of sugar is their lemonade with raspberry. It actually surprised me that all the flavored varieties of Simply’s lemonades contain less sugar than plain lemonade.

7. Simply Apple Juice – 25g of Total Sugar

An 8oz serving of Simply’s apple juice has the same total sugar content as a serving of strawberry or raspberry lemonades. The good news – it is all-natural sugar. There is no added sugar in Simply’s apple juice. All 25g of sugar are naturally occurring sugar.

This is a pretty regular sugar content for an 8oz serving of apple juice. Through my research, I discovered that an 8oz glass of apple juice will tend to contain 23g-30g of total sugar and 0g of added sugar.

How much sugar is in Simply Juices and Lemonades - Simply Fruit Punch

8. Simply Fruit Punch – 25g of Total Sugar

There are also 25g of total sugar in an 8oz serving of Simply’s Fruit Punch – 21g of which are added from cane sugar. This is a very similar sugar content to Minute Maid’s Fruit Punch which contains 24g of total sugar per serving. You can read more about it here – Is Minute Maid High in Sugar?

9. Simply Peach Juice – 25g of Total Sugar

Simply peach juice also contains 25g of total sugar per serving. 21g of these sugars are added.

10. Simply Tropical Juice – 24g of Total Sugar

There are 24g of total sugar in an 8oz serving of Simply Tropical juice, 20g of which are added from cane sugar.

11. Simply Orange with Pineapple Juice – 24g of Total Sugar

I establish below that Simply’s plain orange juices contain 23g of total sugar per serving. Well, if you like a tropical splash in your orange juice, the good news is that doesn’t add much sugar. There are 24g of total per serving of Simply’ Orange with Pineapple Juice, all of which is naturally occurring.

12. Simply Orange with Mango Juice – 24g of Total Sugar

It is the same sugar situation with Simply Orange with Mango Juice – 24g of total sugar per serving, all of which is naturally occurring.

13. Simply Orange Juices – 23g of Total Sugar

All varieties of Simply’s plain orange juice (i.e., their pulp-free, low acid, calcium & vitamin D, medium pulp with calcium & vitamin D, and high pulp orange juices) contain 23g of total sugar per 8oz serving. All this sugar is naturally occurring – there is no added sugar. This is a pretty average sugar content for orange juice.

My research (which you can read here – Is There A Lot of Sugar in Orange Juice) concluded that as a general rule there are 22g-26g of total sugar in an 8oz glass of 100% orange juice.

14. Simply Pineapple Juice – 22g of Total Sugar

There is a tad less sugar in an 8oz glass of Simply’s pineapple juice, coming in at 22g of total sugar per serving, 18g of which are added. This is on the lower end of the sugar spectrum for pineapple juice. My research revealed that there tends to be 21g-30g of total sugar in an 8oz glass of pineapple juice.

15. Simply Watermelon Juice – 21g of Total Sugar

Simply watermelon juice contains 21g of total sugar, of which 20g of sugar is added. Watermelon juice as a general rule tends to be a lower-sugar juice. 16. Simply Grapefruit Juice – 21g of Total Sugar

The lowest sugar “non-light” juice under the Simply brand is its grapefruit juice. There are 21g of total sugar per 8oz cup of grapefruit juice and 0g of added.

17. Simply Light Orange Juice – 11g of Total Sugar

I established above that an 8oz glass of Simply’s orange juice contains 23g of sugar. If you want to reduce that sugar content by half (and let’s face it, why wouldn’t you) then you should definitely opt for Simply’s Light Orange, which contains 11g of total sugar per serving and 0g of added sugar.

This is the case for both the pulp-free and calcium and vitamin D versions. What makes this orange juice lower in sugar? It is the addition of stevia that helps Simply Light Orange juice have a lower sugar content.

18. Simply Light Lemonade – 5g of Total Sugar

I established above that Simply Lemonade contains 28g of total sugar per serving. Well, there is also a light version of their lemonade available that contains just 5g of total sugar per serving. Yes, you read that correctly – 5g! All 5g are added and comes from sugar.

This light lemonade is also sweetened with stevia to keep the sugar content down.

There is also a light version of Simply’s Light Lemonade with Raspberry which just like the light lemonade is sweetened with sugar and stevia and contains 5g of total sugar per serving.

Well, if you are looking for the lowest sugar Simply juice or lemonade your best option is one of Simply’s “Light” range of juices or lemonades. The lowest-sugar lemonade in this range contains 5g of sugar compared to 28g of sugar for the equivalent “regular” version. The light orange juice is slightly higher at 11g of sugar compared to the “regular” version which has 23g of sugar. In particular, you will want to avoid the Simply Cranberry juice which is its highest sugar product containing 34g of sugar per serving.
