1. Blue Raspberry – 27g of Total Sugar

First up is the flavor of Sunny D that you should definitely avoid if you are watching your sugar content and that flavor is Blue Raspberry Sunny D. That is because there are 27g of total sugar (26g of which are added) in an 8oz serving of Blue Raspberry Sunny D.

I mean we all know that blue raspberry never tends to be the healthiest flavor, no matter what the product or brand. But the blue raspberry flavor really is disproportionately higher in sugar than the other flavors.

For example, there is over double the sugar content in a serving of Blue Raspberry than in a serving of smooth Orange, watermelon, lemonade, raspberry lemonade, and mixed berry lemonade flavors.

2. Fruit Punch – 15g of Total Sugar

The next Sunny D flavor contains 12g less sugar than blue raspberry and that is Sunny D’s fruit punch flavor. There are 15g of total sugar of which 14g are added in an 8oz serving of Sunny D Fruit Punch. Like with all Sunny D flavors the sweeteners used are high fructose corn syrup and sucralose.

3. Mango – 15g of Total Sugar

The total sugar content of Sunny D mango is the same coming in at 15g of sugar, although 13g of which are added with the mango flavor.

4. Orange Mango – 14g of Total Sugar

The addition of orange brings the sugar content down a touch in Sunny D’s orange mango flavor, to 14g of total sugar, 13g of which is added.

5. Tangy Original – 14g of Total Sugar

The Tangy Original Sunny D contains 14g of total sugar, of which 12g are added in an 8oz serving. If you love orange Sunny D but want to knock a few grams of sugar off your serving, then check out Sunny D’s Smooth Orange flavor below.

There are 13g of total sugar, 12g of which are added in Sunny D’s lemonade. This is actually not that high of a sugar content for a lemonade – you can find out the sugar content of other lemonades here in the post I wrote on the topic – Is There A Lot of Sugar in Lemonade?

10. Raspberry Lemonade – 13g of Total Sugar

Sunny D’s raspberry lemonade variety has exactly the same sugar content at 13g of total – 12g of which are added.

11. Mixed Berry Limeade – 13g of Total Sugar

If you are team Limeade over team lemonade then you may be interested to know that Sunny D’s limeade has exactly the same sugar content as their lemonade, coming in at 13g of total sugar, 12g of which are added.

12. Smooth Orange – 12g of Total Sugar

The lowest sugar Sunny D on an ounce basis is their Smooth orange variety which contains 12g of total sugar, 10g of which is added. So, if you currently regularly drink Sunny D Tany Original or maybe worth trying their smooth Orange instead so you can save a couple of grams of sugar each time you have a glass.

13. Watermelon – 10g of total Sugar

Finally, we have Sunny D’s watermelon variety. Now the watermelon variety is packaged differently from the other Sunny D’s – they come in 6oz pouches rather than a big bottle. There are 10g of total sugar, 9g of which are added in a pouch. When pro-rated to 8oz (like all the above Sunny D’s) this would equate to 13g of total sugar in an 8oz serving.
